The students of 5A recently visited Nolan's Butchers as part of the LCVP programme. It was a great learning experience for the students to get a tour of the business premises.James Nolan welcomed us and Dermot Mitchell brought us around, explaining all that goes on in the business. Our tour finished with a visit to the shop floor where Andy Nolan gave us a demonstration on cutting lamb chops. Andy is 81 years old and still working away in the business and it was a privilege to meet and chat with him. We discovered that Nolan's is a world-class business who have recently won the 2010 Craft Butcher's Shop Of The Year. This of course is down to the hard work and dedication of James and his team. Thanks to James, Andy and Dermot for their help.
