On Wednesday 3rd March, Transition Years went up to Griffith College in Dublin to showcase their YSI Speakout in front of fourth years from the Leinster region. We got a bus up to the college for nine am and were brought into the room where we were to show our speakout. There were judges and a photographer there. After we all presented our speakout on subjects such as Body Image and the Media,Barrettstown Camp, Beauty Products,Homelessness and Tara Projects, we were entertained by the band “The Chapters”. After lunch we rounded off our day out with a visit to Collins’ Barracks. We thought the day was a good experience.
