Visit to YITBA

Recently, students from 6th Year attended the launch of the Young Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association at the Stand House Hotel. YITBA is aimed at young thoroughbred enthusiasts and the seminar was beneficial to any young person who wishes to pursue a career in the industry and create opportunities for work experience abroad.
The panel on the day included Cathy Grassick (Bloodstock Agent), Celine McEniry (Kildangan Stud), David Marnane (Trainer), Joey Cullen (Marketing Manager), Niamh Lewis (Vet) and Tom Ryan (Naas Racecourse Manager).
After the seminar, there were stands from a wide range of places including Horse Racing Ireland and NUI Maynooth. A highly educational and enjoyable day was had by all.
