An emphatic 5-0 scoreline told the tale of the Senior Boys first soccer match of the year against Rathdowney of Laois. The CPC lads were better in all areas of the pitch and should have had the game sewn up early on but didn't convert the chances they had. Rathdowney tried hard throughout the whole game but couldn't match the physical strength and know-how of the home team. CPC led at half-time with goals from David Harris and Keith Kinsella and tagged on three more in the second half from Paul Bell, Padraig Fogarty and Fionn Dowling. A very good performance overall.
