Two out of two for CPC’s Senior Hockey Girls

CPC’s senior hockey girls have continued their winning ways with a 2-0 win over Rosemount College, Blackrock on Tuesday. Played in awful weather conditions, the CPC girls had to fight hard to the end to retain their two goal lead. Both teams struggled to cope with the harsh playing conditions from the beginning and it was only through luck from a CPC short corner after 15 minutes which finally broke the deadlock. A stray ball around the D found its way to the ever-reliant Trina Duggan who finished the ball coolly past the Rosemount keeper. Our 2nd goal once again arose from a short corner, the final shot coming from Emma Sergeant Kelly. Although the Kilcullen girls had to battle hard to keep their two goal advantage in the second half and were lucky not to concede on several occasions, it was a good win for Kilcullen nonetheless. Their next match is not until for after the mid-term break when hopefully they can continue their winning streak!
