Dr. Seán Dunne visits 4C

As part of the Equine Studies module, Dr. Seán Dunne recently called into CPC to speak with 4C about his work as a racecourse medical officer. The students learned about the injuries suffered by jockeys and how these are dealt with. Seán spoke to the students about the rewards and challenges of being a doctor, especially as he has been an army doctor for over 30 years. There was a discussion about the training required to become a doctor and Seán advised the students about careers in medicine. The students asked plenty of questions and it was a very educational experience for the class.
