The work of KARE and a visit by Special Olympians to TY

We were fortunate to be visited by three Special Olympic athletes, Julie Anne, Jude, Anthony and a key worker Jane. Jane explained the work of KARE and her role as a key worker and swimming coach. The athletes told us about their chosen sports and the upcoming National Games in June. They also told us about their daily lives and PCP’s (Person Centred Plans) that aim to assist them to make the most of their skills and abilities. We are looking forward to assisting their efforts at the National Games by showing our support through bag packing on May 21st in Dunnes Stores, Newbridge. This will help cover the costs associated with the athletes participation.
