Visit by local County Councillor

On Tuesday the sixth of October, 4B as part of our Economics module, had a visit from local Kilcullen politician Martin Heydon. Martin is a past pupil of Cross and Passion College, he sat his Leaving Cert here in 1997. Now he is a Fine Gael County Councillor for Kildare. Being a politician is a very community-based job for him; he holds clinics on 3 Thursdays out of every month to meet the public and tries to solve some of the problems in their local area. Martin is also a part-time farmer but he said he would like to become a national politician or a minister, preferably Minister for Agriculture. On behalf of 4B, I would like to thank Martin for taking time out of his busy schedule to come in and talk to us.
