Senior Boys Soccer suffer defeat.
On Friday last the Senior Boys soccer team suffered their first defeat of the season to a very strong Patricians, Newbridge team. The match was played in beautiful autumnal sunlight and the standard of football shone brightly too. Both teams had chances in the first 20 minutes with Patricians going the closest. However in a 15 min spell in the middle of the half, a lack of concentration and subsequent loss of confidence allowed PBS to race into a 4-0 lead. However, the CPC lads rallied in the second half and two excellent strikes from Padraig Fogarty brought us back into the game. We had a lot of possession at that stage but, when you're chasing the game, it can lead to chances for the opposition. They duly knocked any thoughts of a further comeback out of CPC minds when they scored a fifth. Hard luck to all the panel.
