TY Equine Studies

4C recently visited HRI (Horse Racing Ireland) headquarters in Newbridge. Their mission is to develop and promote Ireland as a world centre of excellence for horse racing and breeding. Their functions include the overall administration of Irish horse racing and the development/promotion of the Irish horse racing industry. Some HRI staff from a number of departments spoke to the students about the work carried out by HRI and there was an opportunity to ask questions. There was a tour of the fabulous new building to see the various departments. It was an informative visit and a worthwhile learning experience. Thanks to the staff at HRI who facilitated the visit (in particular the HR department). S. Dowling (TY Equine Studies Teacher)
