Opening Win for Senior Boys Soccer Team

The Senior boys had their first outing of the year today when they met local rivals Naas CBS here in Kilcullen. A whirlwind start saw CPC race into a 2 goal lead with Shay Pembroke taking his chance well and a Danny Fisher free making its way into the net past an unsighted keeper. CPC took their foot off the pedal then and gave Naas some hope which they turned into a goal. A sloppy start to the second half saw Naas grab an equaliser but some excellent football by the home team led to 2 more goals, one from Fionn Dowling and the other from Paul Bell. It finished 4-2, well deserved after some excellent football.
