Minor Hockey

Our minor hockey team got off to a great start with a convincing win in their first league game this year. The CPC girls retained most of the possession from the beginning and went 1-0 ahead through Ellen Dowling after her initial shot was saved by the Muckross keeper. Kathleen Keane, Ruth Murphy and Aoife Stafford were each holding their own in the back line, with Caoimhe Nolan playing well up front. Miah Phelan was also exceptional at mid-field and was creating more and more chances, finally converting one before the half-time whistle. Kilcullen started strong again in the second half retaining most of the possession and Miah finished off her hat-trick with two further goals in the second half to leave CPC winners by 4-0. A great start for this promising minor team so well done to all with a special mention to their coach Paula Phelan.
