Councillor Tony O’ Donnell visits 5A
The 5th year L.C.V.P class recently welcomed Tony O’ Donnell to C.P.C. Tony is the youngest member of Kildare County Council. The students asked a list of questions about the functions and activities of local politicians. The students focused on the importance of Enterprise in local Government. Tony also spoke to the students about national politics and how he’d like to see changes there. He encouraged the students to get involved in local community activities and to take an active role in clubs, societies etc. He explained how he became involved in politics during his time in Trinity College Dublin. It was a most interesting discussion and thanks to Tony for visiting our school.
