AIB Build a Bank Challenge

On Wednesday 3rd March, the Transition Year Build-a-Bank team of Charles Weir (Branch Manager), Emma Murphy (Assistant Manager), Elias Kelly (Sales and Marketing Executive), Finnian Breen (Auditor), Keelan Hegarty-Kelly (Teller 1) and Emily Boland (Teller 2) represented the school in the Regional Finals which were held in the Killashee House Hotel, Naas.

We arrived at 10am and were greeted with refreshments. We began to set up our exhibition after that and our bank theme was “Superbank – Saving you Money”. Our exhibition was highly influenced by our theme – we had comic books and superheroes on our poster along with all our information. This was very eye-catching! At 11.30 we finished setting up and the judges began to come around. We were asked questions about our teamwork, our customer loyalty, our exhibition and how our bank was progressing. The judging finished at 12.45 and we were taken for lunch.
At half one we were brought back in for the prize-giving ceremony. Unfortunately we didn’t win a prize but we were very proud of our presentation. We had a great day and learned a lot. We would like to thank everyone that made the day possible, especially Ms. Groome.
