Congratulations to the Senior Boys GAA team who retained the South Leinster Cup after an outstanding display against Hacketstown in the final last Thursday on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-9. On the way to the final they beat Heywood in the quarter-final and a very spirited Bray side, only after extra-time, in a thrilling semi-final. The entire panel demonstrated a high level of skill and above all, a tremendous ‘never say die’ attitude on the way to lifting the cup. There were a number of great performances on the day, with scores coming from Podge Fogarty, Seamus Pembroke, Paul Bell, David Harris, Keith Kinsella and Man of the Match, team captain, Fionn Dowling. We now meet the North Leinster champions in the Leinster semi-final in the coming weeks.
