James Nolan and Darren Cawley talk to 5th Year LCVP

On Friday 22nd May, James Nolan and Darren Cawley came to speak to 5th Year students about kidney transplants and dialysis. Darren, who is receiving dialysis currently, told us about how he has lived his life since he was diagnosed with kidney failure. At the end of the talk, the 5th Year LCVP class presented James and Darren with a cheque for €200 as a donation towards James’ charity, the Punchestown Kidney Research Fund. We appreciated James and Darren taking time out of their busy schedules to give us an insight into the reality of kidney transplant and dialysis.
