Tara Projects

On Thursday, 1st April all Fourth Years got the chance to listen to Paddy O’Connor, founder of Tara Projects. Paddy explained a number of things about the organisation. This included who the organisation was named after, his experiences in Africa and the work that Tara projects do. Tara, after whom the project is named, was a seventeen year old girl from Newbridge who died from cancer. Paddy spoke about his experiences in Africa and showed us photographs of the people he has and is working with. He showed us pictures of the orphanage Tara Projects is currently working on, which will house boys and girls from Kyberia. When completed this will be a fantastic facility which will make a real difference to peoples lives. Paddy gave us a great insight into the work undertaken by Tara Projects and was very much enjoyed by all.
