In their first outing of the year, the boys U-13 soccer team were held to a 1-1 draw by a strong Naas CBS team today. Overall the CPC lads had the better of the game, creating more clear-cut chances, but it was the local rivals who scored first. Naas took advantage of a mis-hit clearance to score just after the start of the second half but all credit to bouncing back, because that's what CPC did straight away. David Broadley powered his way through to score what turned out to be the equaliser. Despite all their best efforts, CPC couldn't find their way through a tough rearguard action, reminiscent of events in Bari the previous evening.
