4C Visit Gilltown Stud

My class 4C went to visit Gilltown Stud as part of our Equestrian Studies Module. When we arrived we were met by Julie who showed us around the beautiful stud. It is 1200 acres in size and has countless paddocks and horse stables that are luxurious. The whole stud is owned by The Aga Khan who is known worldwide for his love of horses. We saw two famous stallions in their stables Azamour and Dalakhani. We then got to take a walk through the stud and see the mares in the paddocks with their new foals. Some of the foals were only a few days old when we saw them. We also got to take a walk down to see the famous retired race horse Zarkava and we got to take a photograph with her. We all then made our way back to the bus stopping by a statue of Sinndar to take a group photograph alongside Julie.
